Senior pupil Kasia has secured a place at Edinburgh University to study Astrophysics, having achieved 4 As at Advanced Higher level in Chemistry, Mathematics, Mechanics and Physics. Kasia joined St Margaret’s in III Senior, travelling to school in Aberdeen daily from Fraserburgh.

Having always had a passion for STEM subjects, the curriculum at St Margaret’s enabled her to be able to study the sciences to the highest level, making the most of the opportunity to use the state of the art science facilities at Scotland’s oldest all girls school.

When asked about her time at school, Kasia commented: “Being at St Margaret’s gave me the opportunity to experience things I had never done before and allowed me to be myself. My teachers have supported me to believe that I can achieve anything I put my mind to and I am grateful for their enthusiasm and dedication.”

Alongside her academic studies, Kasia also managed to find time to take part in the extensive extra-curricular programme on offer at the school, most notably as Secretary General for Model United Nations, where she led her team to outstanding success.
